end of tour thanks + the future

thanks thanks thanks a million times again for all of your eyes and ears throughout this seriously massive tour of ours.
looking back, we couldn’t be happier with how it went.
things we learned: the beauty of the perfect key lime pie shot, airport security is still no fun, and never to accidentally send a text message to a journalist telling them where your after-party is (that text was meant for you, apache beat Phil!) .
bowery ballroom was the most perfect end of tour show we could’ve imagined, and we want to say thank you to all of our NYC people for coming out and making it a ridiculously sold-out night. luckily, bowery kept selling tickets way over capacity, so a few more people could catch the show.

Caught your set before Bat For Lashes @ gig in England.
You came on, got ready, strummed guitars & belted out some crazy blips & beats. I didn’t expect to hear any of that at all. But thoroughly loved every single bpm & rift..
You guys were the ‘dogs bollox!’ & that album of yours. It gets me through my rat/sardine packed sweaty tube commute in the mornings.. and pumps me up for a run or night of drinking, procrastination / documentaries & talking theories.. It’s the soundtrack to pre & post ‘mind expansion’..
I hope you have planned a quality break as you lot have worked your bollox off touring around the world. Mental.
I hope you come back to England soon.. (I saw you at the Birmingham gig), so the next time I see Claudia I wont freeze like a rabbit in headlights & say in a truly English manner ‘Alright, you’re really talented, errr fancy a drink?’

Strange pics. Hey, on the “Alpinisms” cover, is the spectrum reaching up to the sky or down from it, or is that simultaneity the basis of its existence?Or does its existence come, somehow, from the Sri Lankan/Indian/African spearmen on the inside cover? Just wonderin’. Also, is there a way to take down silly previous comments, or are they up here until the end of time? Just askin’.
