new year, new record, new shows!

Hi Guys!

Disconnect From Desire is in it’s finishing stages, and I’m so excited. We’ve turned over our part, and it’s now in some loving and capable hands over at Ocean Way Recording in Los Angeles. I wish I could convey how absolutely ecstatic we are about this music, and I’m not even gonna attempt to explain the intense time spent making it, but I’m sure the picture will become more clear as time goes on. It’s probably strange to say so soon, but I’m still in shock that this record actually came out of our heads. I constantly feel like calling up Alley and Claudia and saying, “can you believe we made this?”.

Stay tuned in here, because as we slowly emerge from our trance, there’s going to (finally) be a lot of new information posted here. We’ve got two shows coming up at SXSW this year. We’ll post details as they come, but for now we’ll just have to say look out for new songs, live drums, and a bigger show all around.

P.S. A collaboration we recorded a long time back with our friend Epstein (Roberto Lange) is finally being released. It’s got some spaced-out vocals from Alley and Claudia, and a fuzz guitar (“hero guitar” as my friend michael rother calls it) diversion by me about halfway through.
