no time to post anything for a few days now. we’ve been completely busy, with some bad internet luck, too. also lost my weird USB thing that connects my camera to the computer, so have been unable to post the photos i’ve been taking. will share those soon…
well, we’re in australia, and damn i’m struggling to get in to this time zone. this is a problem that doesn’t seem to be getting any easier to handle. i’ve tried all the tricks: staying up, sleeping, water, pills, eating, not eating, coffee, wine, and i’m just realizing that jet lag is impervious to all of these things. does anybody have any ideas?
australia is amazing, by the way. in sydney, despite the delirium in my frontal lobe, and in between four radio interviews on four different radio stations, we managed to see a bit of the city. lovely. bondi, the harbor, and some beautiful art by yayoi kusama at the museum of contemporary art. i wasn’t aware of her before this, but was impressed. ate good sushi. drank good coffee. wondered were all the aboriginal folks were. found out the sad truth. seems like every place has a dark side, huh?
we played brisbane tonight. amazing show. the amps we hired ended up being enormous, so the show was LOUD!!! had to cut the set a bit short because alley’s almost become a mute after this insane schedule we’ve found ourselves in the middle of. taking it easy tonight to salvage tomorrow’s show in melbourne. looking forward to that one.
